The Resort

Las Caletillas offers a quiet base, ideally situated for exploring the north of the island. One of the prettiest towns in Tenerife, Candelaria, is just 3km away and the islands capital Santa Cruz is around 14km, great for a spot of culture or shopping.

The resort is equipped with a good selection of Canarian restaurants; a small number of low-key bars and several holiday type shops, and there’s even a drive through McDonalds.

The beach here is pebbly, alternative nearby beaches are the volcanic black sands at Candelaria or the man-made golden sands of Playa de Las Teresitas which is around 7km north of Santa Cruz.

Things To Do

One of the many excursions available is to Teide National Park; Mount Teide is the third biggest volcano in the world which last erupted some 150,000 years ago; alternatively visit Loro Parque, a zoological theme park featuring a dolphinarium, recreated jungles and a penguin exhibit.
