Perissa Holidays

Perissa is situated on the east coast of the island and is famous for its endless stretch of black sand beach. Accommodation tends to be fairly close to the beach with friendly local staff and luxurious as well as budget options available.

The Resort

The village of Perissa is a tourist town, populated only during the summer holidays. The village offers a great variety of hotels and rooms, taverns and restaurants, cafes, bars, beach bars and night clubs.

The area is newly built and caters to tourists, making it a more modern than a traditional styled resort.

Perissa makes the ideal base to explore Santorini. A small path crosses the mountain and leads to the ruins of Ancient Thera and there are excursions which can be made by foot or by donkey. The village of Perissa is also home to the charming chapel of Agia Irena (16th-17th centuries).

The Beaches

Perissa has one of Santorini's best beaches which consists of a dark sand beach and is protected from the summer Aegean winds. There are also plenty of watersports for those seeking active pursuits.
