Guests have access to a wonderful garden complex and facilities include a 24 hour reception desk with a currency exchange, safety deposit boxes and currency exchange service. In addition there is a hairdresser's salon, laundry service, internet access, gift shops, nightclub and a parking.

Dining options include a buffet restaurant, two a la carte restaurants and a pizzeria. There is also a beach snack bar and pool bar.

There are three swimming pools including a childrens pool which are surrounded by sunloungers and parasols. The hotel operates a shuttle bus to the beach.

Other sports activities include floodlit tennis, mini football, table tennis and a fitness centre. A choice of non motorised watersports is also available including sailing, kayaking and windsurfing.

The hotel provides a daily daytime and evening activities programme including live shows.

Younger guests are offered a kids clubs and a playground.

Set in tropical gardens, The Fun Royale and the Fun Tropicale are sister properties situated next door to each other, guests may freeley use the facilites and services offered by both hotels.

Location

The hotel is positioned on the Playa Dorada estate and close to the Robert Trent Jones 18-hole championship golf course.

The Playa Dorada beach is 650 metres away and the hotel runs a free shuttle bus throughout the day.

A shopping plaza and casino are within walking distance and the old town of Puerto Plata is 10 minutes' taxi ride away.
