There are a number of excursions and boat trips available from both the harbour and the Marina Rubicon, including trips across to the islands of Los Lobos and Fuerteventura.

Marina Rubicon

Marina Rubicon is situated between the beaches of Papagayo and the main resort area of Playa Blanca. Not just a marina the facilities include a wide range of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants, as well as host to a market every Wednesday. Leisure facilities also include a tennis court, swimming pool and a diving centre.

The beach

Playa Blanca is the white sandy beach in the heart of the resort, surrounded by a variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Playa Flamingo to the west of the town and Playa Dorada to the east, are both sandy beaches and are serviced by a number of shops and restaurants. A little further out are the renowned Papagayo Beaches, reached via a long bumpy dirt-track road or by taxi-boat from the port, the area is protected so there are few facilities and location make them popular with nudists.
