The Beach

The long sand and shingle beach has plenty of sun-loungers and parasols for rent as well as various restaurants, tavernas and snack bars. A wide range of watersports are on offer, including jet skis, windsurfing and paragliding, there is also a dive centre located in the main harbour of Kos Town.

Things To Do

Kos Town is just a 20 minute walk away and has a host of cultural and archaeological sights, like the Castle of the Knights of St John and the world famous ‘tree of Hippocrates’. A range of boat trips are available including a trip to Nissyros Island, famous for its active volcano, scuba diving and trips to the surrounding coastline. There are daily ferries to Bodrum in Turkey as well as the other larger islands of the Dodecanese. Take an excursion to Asclepion 4km away, the most significant archaeological site on the island, once a sanatorium from 500BC to 500AD; or visit the Kos Thermes, 12km south east of Kos town, a sea pool with hot springs is located at the end of a long pebble beach.
