The Resort

Bordering Maspalomas and its infamous sand dunes, Meloneras starts at the Faro Lighthouse where a busy promenade runs the length of the beach, home to restaurants, bars and a shopping centre with boutiques selling designer labels.

This small resort is ideal for enjoying all the entertainment and amenities on offer in bustling Maspalomas but also benefits from a tranquil un-crowded beach, along with excellent bars and restaurants.

For the more active the resort features an 18-hole golf course, watersports including windsurfing as well as horse riding and camel treks.

Things To Do

There are many excursions available from the resort, ranging from jeep safaris and island tours to game fishing and theme parks.

Neighbouring Maspalmos has the largest waterpark on the island; it’s open daily and features 33 slides and 13 attractions including a wave pool; the Holiday World leisure and amusement park has a boating lake, children’s playground, pony riding and karting track as well as a bowling alley and amusement arcade.

Not far from Meloneras is Palmitos Park which features over 200 species of birds, an aquarium, butterfly house, cacti garden and an orchid house.
