The Beach
The resort has several sand and shingle beaches, the most popular is Star beach, where the aptly named Star Beach Water Park is located. Hersonissos is also home to one of the few nudist beaches in Crete, which lies to the west of the town.
Eating Out
All tastes and budgets are catered for here; along with many Irish bars and the usual fast food outlets. The harbour area has numerous bars, tavernas and restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines.
Things To Do
The resort has two waterparks to choose from; AquaPlus and Star Beach both with slides, rides and children’s areas, Star Beach is situated on the beach and has additional watersports available as well as a bungee jump. Apart from the usual land excursions the port offers a variety of boat trips and glass bottom boat tours to the neighbouring island of Dia or surrounding coastline. Further facilities on offer here include a horse riding stable and an 18-hole golf course.
