Gouves Holidays

Set along a coastline of sandy and rocky bays, the fast developing resort of Gouves still retains much of its typical Greek character, with traditional tavernas and white-washed buildings scattered throughout the resort.

The Resort

Not as lively as the larger resorts, evening entertainment in Gouves is found in the bars and tavernas on the main street, some offering live music and traditional shows. There are three small sandy beaches, each providing a good variety of watersports.

Things To Do

A good base for exploring other north coast resorts, such as Heraklion, Malia and Hersonissos which are easily accessible by bus or car. Nearby sights of interest include the monastery of Saint John Theologos and the Skotino Cave approx 6km inland. For a family fun day out the waterpark near Hersonissos is just 15 minutes away.
