Things To Do

Marbella and the surrounding region have a host of entertainment options and numerous sporting facilities, sure to keep all the family happy. In Marbella, Funny Beach Karting has go-karts, mini bikes, jet skis, water skis as well as a children’s play area and the Megabowl and Sports Bar, has 14 bowling lanes, amusement arcade and a diner. Sporting activities in the area include, bicycle hire, tennis clubs, horse-riding centres, numerous golf courses and in nearby San Pedro de la Alantara, 7km from Marbella the Natura Aventura is an adventure park with various activities to suit all ages such as rock climbing, rapelling down canyons, kayaking, archery, paintball and a children’s play area. For a spot of culture and history spend a day enjoying the many sights of Malaga which include a cathedral, several churches, museums and the Moorish Alcazaba fortress. Alternatively take a day trip to a Spanish City such as Seville, Cordoba, Ronda or Granada with their Moorish palaces and cobbled streets.

There are plenty of designer-name boutiques and fashion outlets in Marbella, as well as ample craft boutiques and art galleries. Well worth a look is the large open-air market, held on Mondays near the football stadium.

There are a number of sandy beaches to choose from in Marbella, most of them are well served with all the usual facilities such as lifeguards, children’s play areas, sun-loungers, sunshades, Chiringuitos (beach bars) and a variety of watersports including jet-skis, windsurfing, pedalos and banana rides.
