Fiestas

One of Lloret’s biggest celebrations ‘the feast of Santa Cristina’ takes place during July in honour of the town’s patron saint; this involves a procession out to sea, the preparation of a huge country stew with helpings for everyone and a large firework display.

Beaches

The main beach is well serviced with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby as well as a wide selection of watersports from waterskiing and jet skiing to parasailing and kayaking. Fenals Beach about 1km south of the town centre is equally well served with bars and sports facilities as well as home to the Fenals Maritime Club providing sailing courses and boat hire. To the north of Lloret is Canyelles Beach which also has a yacht marina, watersports as well as plenty of bars, shops and restaurants.

Lloret de Mar’s nightlife is large and varied with something to suit all tastes and budgets, there are numerous restaurants, tavernas, bars, clubs and discos to choose from as well as many British style pubs and even a casino. The selection of amenities on offer is varied ranging from the large waterpark situated just outside Lloret to the aquatic zoo south of Blanes. Further amenities include horse-riding, ten pin bowling, mini-golf, a golf course as well as pitch & putt, go-karting which includes a smaller track for younger children and the ‘Gnomo Park’ an adventure park ideal for families with young children its features include play areas as well as an animal farm.
