Nearby Benidorm is home to several theme parks which include the Terra Mitica theme park, Terra Natura Wildlife Park, Aqua Natura and Aqualandia water parks as well as the Mundomar marine park. Along with its wide variety of watersports facilities Benidorm also has a golf course offering two very different 18-hole courses, a large driving range and various practice areas such as a putting green, approach green and a bunker.

The Resort

Altea is just 11km from Benidorm, though worlds apart in terms of scenery and ambience. The old quarter has cobbled streets leading up to the picture postcard blue and white domed church. The shops offer local crafts, paintings and gifts; and there are some first class restaurants with both local and international cuisines.

There are over 5km of pebble beaches along Altea’s coastline including a popular naturist beach. The attractive seafront promenade is lined with palm trees and has plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and is also home to a market on Tuesday mornings.

There are two watersports centres in Altea offering a variety of activities such as diving, sailing, windsurfing, fishing and local boat trips.
