Considered to be one of the best beaches on the Algarve, Monte Gordo beach is great for families. The waters in this part of the Algarve tend to be warmer making it ideal for children paddling.

For those feeling a little more energetic there is some great water sports to try such as water skiing, snorkelling, windsurfing and body boarding to name just a few.

Taking a break from the beach there is so much to see and do in this part of the Algarve. For great evening entertainment there is a casino with slot machines, games, dancing and shows. For great days out take a boat tour along the river Guadiana, which marks the Portugal and Spain boarder. There are also some great historic churches, museums and galleries which are also worth a visit.
