Things To Do

There are plenty of sporting activities available in and around Carvoeiro such as a tennis centre, lawn bowling clubs, horse-riding school, dive centre and of course several golf courses.

There are numerous boat excursions on offer, with trips along the coast to nearby beaches, towns and other attractions.

For some family fun visit one of the Algarve’s water or theme parks such as Lagos Zoo and Zoomarine with its dolphinarium, or Krazy World fun-park has two mini-golf courses, a swimming-pool, a children’s farm, crocodile park and bouncy castles, as well as the Aqualand, Slide & Splash and Aqua Show waterparks.

The Resort

Once a small fishing village, Carvoeiro has a number of shops, bars, restaurants and even a disco, a variety of hotel and self catering accommodation and on its outskirts a 36-hole golf course and holiday complex, as well as a tennis centre and a further 9-hole golf course.

The Beaches

The town’s main beach is a small stretch of sand sheltered by cliffs and easily reached, Paraiso Beach is just 400 metres away this small secluded cove is quiet but not so accessible with 115 steps down from the cliff top. Other nearby stretches of sand worth a visit includes Benagil, Marinha and Centeanes beaches.
