The Resort

The tourist area of Albufeira is called Montechoro; it’s situated around 3km from the centre of Albufeira and its marina. The main nightlife hub of Montechoro is known as ‘The Strip’ it’s lined with bars, shops, cafes and restaurants and leads onto the Oura beach.

The Beach

Albufeira boasts several beaches some of which are small sandy bays; the main tourist beach is Oura, it’s a popular beach busy during the summer season and has sun-loungers and parasols for hire as well as a good range of watersports.

Things To Do

There are several family attractions in and around Albufeira such as the educational Zoomarine which features a dolphinarium, a 4D cinema, an aquarium, swimming pools and amusement rides and just outside Albufeira is the Aqualand waterpark which has several slides, swimming pools, a lazy river and children’s area as well as the Krazy World fun-park with mini-golf courses, a petting farm and more. From the marina there are plenty of boat trips on offer, with trips along the coast to nearby beaches and towns as well as boat charters, jet-skis and dolphin watching. Albufeira has over 12 golf courses within an easy drive as well as a tennis club and horse-riding centre.
