Porto Cristo

The resort offers a good selection of craft and gift shops where you can hunt for traditional Majorcan wares. The harbour of Porto Cristo is surrounded by restaurants and cafes serving freshly caught seafood and other local dishes.

The sandy Porto Cristo beach is set away from the main road in a sheltered bay and provides safe swimming. The quieter beaches and picturesque bays to each side of the town provide alternative unspoilt beaches and can be reached by regular local coast buses.

Please note that this resort is hilly and there are a number of steps throughout.

For those looking to explore the surrounding area there are many sandy coves and bays up and down the neighbouring shoreline. There are also excurions to the island's Caves of Drach and the inland town of Mancor, famous for pearls. In addition trips can be made to the old town of Arta, the market and leather factory at Inca, the monastery of San Salvador and of course to the capital, Palma.
