The Resorts
The busier resorts are situated on the south coast of the island and include all the ingredients for a fun filled family holiday. Puerto Rico is a popular choice for families of all ages, with its sheltered beach, a waterpark, family bars and nightclubs, Playa del Ingles is the livelier resort, well suited to those with teenagers; while neighbouring Maspalomas offers a more relaxing environment and 6km of sandy beach.

There’s no shortage of amenities for all the family to enjoy, ranging from a varied selection of watersports, golf courses, walking and hiking, rock climbing, horse riding, cycling, karting, camel safaris, nightlife and shopping.
Theme Parks
The island has a variety of parks to enjoy; they are open all year round and most are open seven days a week. There are two waterparks, the larger of the two is in Maspalomas and the smaller in Puerto Rico. Theme parks include Palmitos Park featuring over 200 species of birds; Holiday World is a leisure and amusement park, Sioux City an American Wild West theme park, Mundo Aborigen (Aborigine’s world) has a reconstruction of an ancient canary village, Cocodrilo Park (Crocodile Park) a zoological park, Cactualdea (Cacti Park) and Reptilandia Park (Reptile Park).
