The main place where everyone goes shopping is the area of Dahab called Masbat. Here you'll find bazaars, bars, cafes, and restaurants which remain open until the wee small hours. Top things to buy are papyrus, spices, alabaster, tea, coffee and the ubiquitous Red Sea t-shirts.
The Bedouin culture is quite prominent in Dahab and you cannot fail to see their presence in the bazaars. So why no take a little piece of Bedouin culture home? So pop down to the promenade by the sea and buy your children hand made bracelets made by Bedouin girls, they'll love it.
