Stretching for 2km, Malia’s sandy beach has plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from, many sun-loungers and parasols for hire and a wide variety of watersports available including jet skis, ringos, banana boats and pedalos.

For a spot of culture visit the Minoan Palace of Malia, a 4000 year-old archaeological site is just 2km east of Malia which also has a peaceful sandy beach nearby, or for a family fun day out take a trip to the water park near Hersonissos about 20 minutes drive away.
Malia also has its own sports centre, with two 5-a-side football pitches, ice-skating rink, children’s play area, internet cafe and a bar; it also plays host to ‘Fight Club’ attracting fighters from all over Greece who fight in kickboxing, boxing and ultimate fighting against workers and tourists.
